Taking care of your skin over 50 is more than just vanity. Women over 50 have unique skin care needs that are often related to 4 factors: chronological aging, environmental damage, sun exposure, and the loss of estrogen after menopause.
A good rule of thumb to remember if you're a woman over 50 is protect your skin in the morning and repair your skin at night.
1. Use a cleanser only at night
It's not necessary to cleanse with a cleanser both morning and night. While nighttime is an absolute MUST, using something to freshen and cleanse gently, such as micellar water in the morning is great. Be sure to follow with a great serum and a moisturizer with sunscreen.
