Customer Review Integrity Policy
Effective Date: 2-26-2015
The integrity of customer feedback is paramount to Parisian's Pure Indulgence. This policy outlines our commitment to authentic, honest reviews and details what measures we take to prevent and address fraudulent activity.
1. Our Commitment to Authenticity
Our goal is simple: ensure every review accurately reflects a genuine, unbiased customer experience. We strive for a transparent platform where genuine praise and constructive criticism can be shared equally.
2. Authenticity Requirements
To ensure trust and combat fraud, we verify the origin of reviews:
-
Verified Purchase Tag: Priority is given to reviews submitted by customers who have purchased the specific product being reviewed. These reviews will be marked with a "Verified Buyer" tag.
-
Proof of Identity: In cases where authenticity is questioned, we reserve the right to request proof of purchase or identity (e.g., order number, email verification) to confirm the reviewer is a real customer.
3. Prohibited Content and Fraudulent Activity
We reserve the right to remove any reviews that fall into the following categories of fraud or abuse:
-
Impersonation: Reviews submitted using another customer's name, email, or identity.
-
Libel/Hate Speech: Content that is defamatory, malicious, harassing, discriminatory, or uses excessive profanity.
-
Competitor Attacks: Reviews submitted by current or former employees or agents of competitor companies intended to sabotage reputation.
-
Irrelevant Content (Off-Topic): Reviews that do not pertain to the product or service itself (e.g., shipping complaints that should be directed to customer service).
-
Automated Submissions: Reviews generated by bots or automated software programs.
4. Policy on Incentives and Disclosure (FTC Compliance)
We adhere strictly to FTC guidelines regarding endorsements and testimonials.
-
Paid/Gifted Reviews: If a customer receives a product for free, is paid, or is offered a significant incentive (e.g., contest entry) in exchange for a review, the review must clearly and conspicuously disclose the relationship (e.g., "I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion").
-
Failure to Disclose: Reviews that are known to be incentivized but fail to include proper disclosure will be removed until updated to comply.
5. Enforcement and Review Removal
If a review is determined to be fraudulent, misleading, or violates our policy:
-
Removal: The review will be removed from the site.
-
Account Suspension: Repeated attempts to submit fraudulent reviews or spam may result in the reviewer's account being banned or blocked from future submissions.
-
No Notice of Removal: We generally do not notify the reviewer when a submission is removed due to policy violation.
