What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol. It’s basically a compound of the cannabis, or hemp plant that has inflammatory, analgesic and neuroprotectant qualities.
How does CBD work?
Most of us know of the 11 systems in the human body such as digestive, nervous or circulatory systems. But there is also another one called the endocannabinoid system, which is made up of millions of cannabinoid receptor sites. The Endocannabinoid system is involved in a wide variety of processes, including pain, memory, mood, appetite, stress, sleep, metabolism, immune function, and reproductive function.
CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors in the body bind with the molecules of CBD and produce a positive biological response.

Why is CO2 Extraction important?
Many companies use solvent extraction to extract CBD from the plant. Solvents are considered processing aids and these aids need not be added to the label—meaning you don’t know which solvents are used. We do not use butane, isopropyl isopropyl alcohol, pentane, hexane, or ethanol to extract our CBD from the hemp plant. Supercritical CO2 method of extraction leaves us with a solvent-free, all-natural, full-spectrum hemp CBD which is also alcohol-free, vegan, non-GMO and gluten-free. Supercritical CO2 extraction is more expensive but preserves the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids of the hemp.
