Do you look in the mirror and see dark circles under your eyes? If so, try increasing the vitamin K in your diet--with Kale! 1 cup of Kale packs 684% of the RDA of Vitamin K.
If you like a morning smoothie for breakfast, like I do, add a handful of spinach or kale and power up the skin saving nutrients!
Today, I boosted my morning smoothie with handful of spinach to the 1/2 banana, 4 large strawberries, 1 tsp. Coconut Oil, and protein powder. Why? Spinach is a good source of
This week we're launching our NEW Natural Probiotic Deodorant, Pure Protection. What makes this deodorant different, besides being natural? Simple, it works! Over the past 3 years, I've personally tried at least a dozen different natural deodorants...none worked.
What's the difference between antiperspirants and deodorant?
Most people use the terms antiperspirant and deodorant interchangeably, the two are not the same. Antiperspirants work by preventing perspiration from occurring (with Aluminum). Deodorants allow perspiration, but block odor. Deodorants accomplish this by killing the bacteria that cause odor. From a purely natural standpoint, it makes more sense for us to use deodorants, as it is a more natural process.
Personally, I'm not looking to completely stop sweating.
Are the skincare products you purchase in a Doctors office better? The short answer...probably not.
After 30 years in the beauty industry, I've seen and heard many stories from women when it comes to their skincare purchasing experiences and habits . Recently, a client mentioned she had been to her dermatologist for a rash. Upon leaving, she noticed the doctor sold a particular line of anti-aging skincare. The woman at the front desk suggested she try the products, and my client told her, "I'm happy with my skincare line, it's natural and organic."
"Oh, you should try these, they are more potent and effective than the organic lines." the assistant proclaimed, and the dermatologist concurred. When my client shared this story with me, I wasn't surprised; inaccurate information abounds.
Most of us don't look this cute while soaking in a nice tub of bubbles, but the look on Ava's face (Granddaughter of my girlfriend Ellen) says it all! Most females feel as Ava does, there is something so blissfully nice about a bubble bath!
A long soak, with candles, music, and maybe a flower or two, is something I would adore for Valentine's Day, especially if it's being prepared by my husband.
Valentine's Day is one of those days you either want to ignore or feel totally pressured by - particularly the guys. What is the right gift for our significant other? My husband and I were discussing it this week, in a class called "Marriage Matters"--What are your expectations for Valentine's Day?
In the class, when asked what our expectations are, the answers were anything from, "I'm not into a Hallmark created holidays," to "Give me diamonds!" But, the bigger question is, "Have you let your significant other know what your expectations are?" Sometimes we women expect men to be mind readers, and Valentine's Day is a test...how well does he know me?
If you're the, I'm not into a Hallmark created holiday type, and your spouse is someone who wants
1. Decide to have a goal!
Whether you are looking for Rosacea redness relief, or just want to better hydrate your dry, flaky skin, deciding to do something about it, is the first step. Perhaps you've been unhappy with the results, from the drug/department store products you've been purchasing and have decided 2016 is the year you try something healthier for your skin.
2. Be more Aware!
Organic is different than Natural. Beware of companies that use the word "Natural" on their packaging. Legally, this means nothing—it's a completely unregulated term and is used mostly for marketing. It will generally mean that at least some natural ingredients have been used in the formula, but a product can be labeled as natural and contain significant synthetic ingredients.
Organic products are highly regulated. It means they contain a large percentage of ingredients that have been grown and processed under a very strict code of cleanliness, with no pesticides or fertilizers, and absolutely no genetically modified organisms.
Still, nothing beats the memories of holiday shopping and traditions shared with others.
November is National Alzheimers Disease and Family Care Giver Awareness Month. Alzheimer's disease is the 6th most common cause of death in the United States. There is encouraging, growing scientific evidence that dietary choices can actually reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.
"I want to thank you for the extra gifts of Shea Brulee cuticle cream. It was unexpected and very much appreciated. I'm so glad I found your website, as I have trouble reaching the salon that sells it near me. It was worth the shipping. You were quick to ship the products and again appreciate that. It takes me a little while to get through the bottle, and one is a gift, but I will definitely order from you again."
